This series is about the contradiction I find in camouflage material for soldiers. On the one hand it lets the soldiers blend into the natural world but on the other hand they do this in order to kill. There is both growth and death in these paintings, from the natural patterns of the uniforms, to the reality of the soldier's profession, and back to the memorializing flowers at the gravesites where soldiers are buried.
